The Accredited Private Archive Center of the Sherbrooke Historical Society has been accredited since 1990 by the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec. This certificate attests of the quality and professionalism of the services that are offered.

Competent staff whose mission is to preserve, complete and broadcast the archives is on hand to welcome you and help you with your research.

Before your visit our office, please consult our online database www.histoiresherbrooke.ca. You will find more than 120,000 iconographic documents, maps and city plans, sound recordings, books, etc. They are the witnesses of the history of our region.

Newspapers

The archives of the Société d'histoire de Sherbrooke offers a large collection of newspapers dating back to the 19th century, including La Tribune and the Sherbrooke Daily Record. For a list of newspapers, follow this link.
